Issues

Healthcare as a Right

  • We have a moral imperative to view access to affordable medical care as a basic right.

  • A woman’s autonomy must be protected, medical decisions should be between you and your doctor, not the state, not an insurance company.

  • Mental health is critical to public health and must be available and affordable for all.

  • We must pass laws that prevent insurance companies from limiting access to care.

Protect Our Democracy

  • Protect our democracy from the false election narratives and efforts to interfere with our democratic election process.

  • Support Ranked Choice Voting to produce more civil, inclusive, participatory and representative outcomes.

  • Propose that Election Day be a state holiday, allowing everyone to participate in democracy.

Energy Independence

  • Provide incentives to consumers and businesses for moving to green technologies.

  • Lead the fight for jobs and a vibrant future built on emerging technologies that strengthen our economy and our environment.

  • Support legislation to limit greenhouse gas emissions, rewards adoption of green technologies and creates disincentives for polluters.

  • Hasten the transition to clean, renewable energy sources to reduce dependency on foreign energy.

Better Education, Better Economy

  • Training and education are the gateway to prosperity.

  • Extremists that interfere with teachers who are trying their best to teach our students must not take hold in Minnesota.

  • Quality schools are a powerful draw, fueling growth and property values. We need a fully funded educational system at the state level.

  • Technical training must be available and affordable.

Gun Violence Prevention

  • Guns are the #1 cause of death for children, and this is simply unacceptable

  • Support the 90% (including most gun owners!) of Minnesotans who want universal background checks on gun purchases

  • All gun owners are taught gun safety. Similarly, the state must protect our rights, while exercising reasonable safety measures

  • We must make our schools a safe place to work and learn.
