For farmers, diesel isn’t optional. It runs tractors, combines, irrigation systems, and the trucks that move crops. When diesel spikes, their costs explode overnight.

And farmers can’t just raise prices to cover it. They absorb the hit or cut back on fertilizer, planting, or yield.

Affordability

That doesn’t stay on the farm.

Higher diesel means higher costs for everything. Food, clothing, and everyday goods. We’re already in an affordability crisis, and this makes it worse.

This is what it looks like when decisions far away hit home.
